This charming cosy cottage is one of four cottages tucked away in a quiet courtyard setting. For centuries an important shipbuilding centre Appledore is now home to the North Devon Maritime Museum which explains the history of the village. For keen walkers there is direct access to the South West Coast Path and river walks towards Bideford or discover the two miles of golden sands at Westward Ho! beach which is under a mile away popular with surfers and sand castle enthusiasts alike. There are many other attractions and leisure facilities all within easy reach and the pannier market town of Bideford is a 10-minute drive with its shops and restaurants. From Bideford Quay the MS Oldenburg regularly takes day trippers to Lundy Island where you can explore the stunning scenery and the varied terrain or spot the many varieties of wildlife which inhabit the island. Back on dry land in the evenings there is a range of fine cuisine to enjoy in Appledore in one of the many pubs and restaurants all within walking distance.
